NA SONTANEH SCHOLARSHIP

The Student Advisor is pleased to announce the inaugural Na Sontaneh Scholarship!
The COVID-19 pandemic has had severe consequences on the livelihood of millions of families across the globe, and Cameroon is one of the hardest hit countries on the African continent. Na Sontaneh means unity in Bandem, a Cameroonian dialect (literal translation: “Let’s understand one another”). Through this scholarship, The Student Advisor aims give back to society, providing much needed assistance to academically outstanding, financially challenged students seeking to pursue a graduate degree abroad.
The laureates of this scholarship will have the cost of the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) covered by The Student Advisor.
The GRE is a standardized test often required for entry into graduate programs around the world. The GRE is an essential part of the application process and can constitute an obstacle for many academically qualified but economically underprivileged students. The scholarship is open to ANYONE in Cameroon who has completed (or is about to complete) their bachelor’s (minimum) or master’s degree and aims to further their studies abroad.
The inaugural Na Sontaneh Scholarship will be awarded to five students who demonstrate academic excellence, financial need and the determination to further their education despite the odds.
